Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Dcompany ("we", "us") about your use of the game Sector31 and related services we provide (together, the "Service").

1. Acceptance and changes

By downloading, installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We may change these Terms when the Service changes or the law requires it. We will announce changes in the game or on this website at least 7 days before they take effect, and at least 30 days before if the change is unfavourable to you or significant. If you continue to use the Service after a change takes effect, the changed Terms apply. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using the Service and delete your account.

2. Your account

Sector31 creates an account for you automatically when you first start the game. You do not need to register an email address or a phone number. Your account is tied to the device you play on.

• You are responsible for keeping your device and any account transfer code you create secure.
• An account transfer code moves your account to another device. Once used, the old device loses access.
• You may not sell, lend, transfer or share your account with anyone else. Accounts have no independent value apart from the Service.
• One person may not operate multiple accounts in order to gain an advantage in rankings, rewards or guild features.

3. The Service

The Service is provided as it is at the time you use it. We may add, change, or remove game content, features, balance values, seasons, events and rewards in order to operate and improve the game.

We may suspend all or part of the Service temporarily for maintenance, updates, or technical reasons. Where the suspension is planned, we will announce it in advance. Where it is caused by an emergency or a matter outside our control, we will announce it as soon as we reasonably can.

If we decide to end the Service, we will announce it at least 30 days in advance in the game and on this website, and we will handle unused paid in-game currency in accordance with applicable consumer protection rules.

4. Paid content and in-game items

The game is free to download. Some items and benefits can be bought with real money through Google Play or the App Store.

• Payments are processed by the store platform. We do not receive or store your payment card information.
• Prices shown in the store include or exclude tax according to the rules of your country and the store platform.
• In-game currency and items are a limited, personal, non-transferable and revocable right to use them inside the Service. They are not money, a deposit, or property with value outside the game, and they cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another player or another account.
• Paid and free currency are tracked separately. Currency you receive as a reward, bonus, gift or compensation is free currency. Where a rule below applies only to paid currency, it does not apply to free currency.
• When you spend currency, paid currency is consumed first.
• A monthly pass gives you its benefits for a fixed period starting from the date of purchase. Where it is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, it renews automatically until you cancel it in the store; cancelling stops future renewals and the benefits remain until the end of the period you already paid for. Whether a pass renews automatically is shown on the purchase screen and in the store.

5. Probability-based items ("gacha")

The Service includes items obtained by chance. Before you make such a purchase, the game shows the item categories that can be obtained and the probability of each, and whether duplicates can occur. This information is available in the game at any time.

Where a "ceiling" (pity) rule applies, the game states the number of draws required and what you receive. Probabilities are applied independently to each draw unless the game states otherwise. Where the law of your country requires additional disclosure, we follow that law.

6. Cancellation and refunds

Because payments are processed by the store platform, refund requests are normally handled by Google Play or the App Store under their own policies. Please contact the store first.

In addition, where Korean consumer protection law applies:

• You may withdraw your purchase within 7 days of buying paid in-game currency, provided that you have not used it.
• Withdrawal is limited for content that has already been used or consumed, for content whose value drops significantly once it is opened or used, and for items obtained by chance that have already been drawn.
• If the Service does not work as described because of a problem on our side, you may request a refund even after use, in accordance with applicable law.

Where the law of your country gives you stronger rights than this section, that law applies.

7. Rules of conduct

You agree not to do any of the following:

• Modify the game client or data, use unauthorized programs, automation tools or macros, or interfere with our servers or network traffic
• Exploit a bug or error to obtain currency, items, rankings or rewards that you would not otherwise receive, or to help another player do so
• Deliberately lose, collude, or arrange match results in order to affect rankings or rewards
• Buy, sell, lend or broker accounts, items or in-game currency for real money outside the Service
• Harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against other players, or send obscene or unlawful content in chat or messages
• Impersonate us, our staff, or another player
• Infringe the intellectual property or other rights of us or anyone else
• Use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful in your country

8. Suspension and termination by us

If you breach these Terms, we may restrict your use of some features, suspend your account temporarily, or terminate it. We choose the measure according to how serious and how repeated the breach is.

When we apply a restriction, the game shows you the reason (and the period, where the restriction is time-limited), unless doing so would make it impossible to prevent an ongoing abuse or is not permitted by law. You may object to a restriction by contacting us at the address below, and we will review it and reply. If a restriction turns out to have been applied in error, we will lift it and restore what was affected.

Where a restriction is caused by your breach, paid in-game currency that is lost as a result is not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise.

9. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the game (Menu → Settings → Delete account) or by following Delete your Sector31 account.

• Your nickname is released immediately and may be taken by another player.
• If you sign in again within 7 days, your account is restored. You may need to choose a new nickname.
• After 7 days, your account, game progress, items and in-game currency are permanently deleted and cannot be restored. Remaining paid in-game currency is forfeited and is not refunded.
• Records that we are required to keep by law are kept separately for the periods stated in our Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual property

The Service and everything in it — software, artwork, characters, music, text, and design — belongs to us or to our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service for your own entertainment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the Service, except to the extent the law allows it regardless of this restriction.

You may capture, stream and share gameplay footage for non-commercial purposes, and you may monetize such videos on ordinary video or streaming platforms. You may not use our name, logo or artwork in a way that suggests we sponsor or endorse you.

11. Content you submit

You are responsible for the nickname you choose and for messages you send in guild chat or direct messages. You keep your rights in what you write, and you give us permission to store, display and transmit it as needed to operate the Service and to handle reports of misuse. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or the law.

12. Advertising

The Service may offer optional advertisements that give a reward when you watch them. Watching is always your choice; the game is playable without it. Advertising providers process information under their own policies, as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We work to keep the Service available and correct, but we do not promise that it will be free of interruption or error. We are not liable for problems caused by your device, your network connection, the store platform, or other matters outside our reasonable control, or for loss caused by your own breach of these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to exclude. Where our liability is limited by law to a specific amount, that limit applies.

14. Minors

If you are a minor under the law of your country, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and you should obtain their consent before making any purchase. A parent or legal guardian may contact us about a purchase made by a minor without their consent, and we will handle it in accordance with applicable law.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer resident in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live, and nothing here takes those away.

We would like to resolve any problem directly. Please contact us first at the address below. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it may be brought before the court that has jurisdiction under the applicable civil procedure law.
